1999年的這張雙CD專輯，其實是我認識九吋釘的開始，
它在我心裡面一直都是最重要的一張NIN。


這是一張非常灰暗、脆弱、淒美並且讓人陷落其中的專輯，
好像你手上握著末日最後一絲美麗和希望，卻又眼看著它們從你指縫中慢慢流逝，
然後你一點辦法都沒有。

就在那一天，你聽著這張唱片，感到全世界都背離你而去，你的眼淚掉下來好像沒有一點重量。

不過他說，不是只有你是殘破的、無助的，
我們都是。

不需要馬上站起來往前走，只要能夠找到彼此就好。

我一直覺得這是一首浪漫到心痛的情歌。


至於Starfuckers, Inc.這首
就像是寫給Marilyn Manson的分手信，順便嘲諷自己所身處的音樂工業名人圈吧。（笑）

不知道五年之間累積了多少的抑鬱不快樂才能做出這麼一張專輯，
每個音符鼓點敲打下去的痛和憤怒都如此誠實。
如果他有藉著寫出這些而治癒縫合自己，我想那也能夠療癒聽的人們吧。

有很長的一陣子，
我總會在聆聽這些這麼真實而脆弱的情緒裡大哭一場，然後感受到支持的力量。
